People’s experience
Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 3 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. One patient said, “[The dentist] always puts you at ease. Only performs work you need or ask for. She has a genuine interest in the wellbeing of her patients. The office manager is superb.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. One patient told us, “The staff are friendly, patient and sympathetic. The level of professionalism is extremely high. This includes the treatment given by the senior dentist and her dental staff, as well as the expertise shown by the reception manager. What I appreciate most if all is the time taken to explain issues and demonstrate proposed treatments.” The practice collected online feedback from patients and displayed it on their website. Many patients mentioned the excellent and professional care provided by the dentist and dental hygienists, as well as the warm and welcoming approach of the receptionist. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
