Privacy
A simple explanation of site data.
You can use the public lookup without creating an account or giving us your name.
Postcode searches
A postcode is used to return relevant local results. Do not enter a name, medical detail or other sensitive information into the search box.
Community reviews
If you submit a review, we store the ratings, review text, optional display name and optional month of visit that you provide. Do not include medical details or contact information. A private browser identifier is stored in an essential cookie and converted into a one-way submission key so we can limit repeat submissions; the raw identifier is not published. Reviews remain private until approved by a moderator and may be rejected or removed.
Measurement and advertising
Optional analytics and advertising storage starts in a denied state. If you permit it through the consent controls, Google Analytics may measure site use and marked affiliate-link clicks, while Google AdSense and approved partners may deliver and measure advertising. Read the cookie policy for more detail.
Affiliate links and external services
Links to the CQC, providers, partner sites and retailers lead to services with their own privacy policies. A marked affiliate partner may record that you arrived from Check My GP after you click, but commercial relationships never change provider ratings or ordering.
Your choices and rights
You can reject optional storage, clear cookies in your browser, and ask about personal information you submitted in a review. You may request correction or deletion where applicable. Public CQC records should normally be corrected with the CQC or provider first so future data refreshes remain accurate.
