Independent buyer's checklist
Compare GP practice services on the details that matter.
A headline saving can disappear through migration fees, weak support or an unsuitable contract. Use this checklist before asking a software, staffing or training provider for a quote.
No paid service is required to use Check My GP. Suppliers cannot alter CQC evidence, patient-survey results, community reviews or provider order.
Shortlist against the same questions
Write down the practice requirement, evidence needed and whole-life budget before speaking to suppliers. Ask every shortlisted provider the same questions and retain their answers with the procurement record.

Before signing
- Confirm the problem and the people who must use the service.
- Check references from comparable organisations, not only testimonials selected by the supplier.
- Review privacy, security, clinical-safety and contractual duties with the appropriate responsible staff.
- Model setup, training, usage, renewal and exit costs over the expected term.
- Agree success measures, implementation ownership and a route for resolving problems.
This guide remains usable without them. Commercial comparisons appear only after a relevant provider and HTTPS tracking destination have been reviewed and configured.
