People’s experience
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. We received direct positive feedback via our website with people reporting the service was well managed and staff were caring. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. We spoke with a representative from the PPG, and they described the strong relationship between the service and the PPG, and how the service encouraged, respected and valued the PPG involvement. They explained that the relationship was proactive, providing a forum to discuss issues important to patients which were then shared with the service team. The meetings provided an environment for discussions and agreements about the practice and services provided and members were encouraged to contribute their views and suggestions. The PPG provided various examples of working together with the service, they felt fully involved in future plans for the surgery. For example, members of the PPG had advised the service from a patient perspective how the waiting areas could be improved to better support autistic people and people with a learning disability. As a result of this insight, the service ensured a box with sensory equipment was available and the practice is currently creating a more inclusive waiting environment, with adaptations aimed at improving accessibility and comfort for autistic people and those with a learning disability.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
