What CQC reported

The service is not performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.

People’s experience

Survey results from the 2025 National GP Patient Survey, showed people were generally satisfied with the service. However, there was some negative feedback about people’s experience of access to appointments through online consultation on the practice website and contacting the service by telephone. The service had reviewed the national GP patient survey and taken action to improve patients’ experience, such as updating the telephone system to improve response times, making improvements to the practice website and recruiting more staff. The patient feedback we reviewed during this assessment showed that patient’s experience of the service had improved. The service shared data from Friends and Family (2024 to 2025) that was consistently positive. Most people who completed Friends and Family survey reported a very good overall experience of the service. We spoke with the participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service, who told us anything raised by the group was followed up by the staff. The service provided care and treatment to a local residential and nursing care home, feedback from care home staff home was very positive about the quality of the service the practice provided.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
