Of those who were surveyed and responded, 43.8% of patients would describe their overall experience of South Hylton Surgery as good. Other results in this survey indicated that people had more difficulty contacting the practice than the national average and did not feel as listened to by the healthcare professional at their last appointment as the national average. However, data collected by South Hylton Surgery via various questionnaires showed that people were satisfied with services. According to the practice’s survey, 70% of patients who responded would describe their overall experience of South Hylton Surgery as good. Data collected from people by CQC via the Give Feedback on Care questionnaire was positive, with people describing the care provided by South Hylton Surgery as outstanding, understanding, friendly, and helpful. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how practice leadership had made positive changes because of their direct feedback. Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
Independent lookup: Check My GP is not affiliated with the CQC, NHS or this provider. Providers cannot pay to change their rating or position. CQC data is reused under the Open Government Licence; GP Patient Survey results are published by NHS England and Ipsos.
