People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 5 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 18 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “I would have no hesitation of recommending [the dentist].I am in the lucky position of very rarely requiring any remedial work and appointments are very much in the descaling of my teeth.” “I have been a patient at Cavendish Dental practice for more than 10 years; I have always had outstanding dental service and oral hygiene guidance throughoutthisperiod. I am 100% satisfied with the serviceI receive.” “I have received outstanding care in every way.[Dentist’s name] the expert care you provide is incredible. [The dentist] is thoughtful in their approach, an excellent dentist and always explain clearly. You inspire trust and confidence. The staff who support you are kind and know what to do. They come across as a happy team. This is important because it is reflected in the care you all provide.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “The practice waiting area is clean, and the clinic room itself perfect.” Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “Making and changing routine appointments is easy. They do their best to accommodate urgent ones too in a timely manner and mutually convenient time.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
