What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

The provider encouraged and used feedback from people who used the service to make improvements. Feedback we reviewed showed that patient experience of the service was positive overall in relation to the care and treatment they had received. The results of the national GP patient survey showed high levels of patient satisfaction with areas such as patients feeling listened to, being involved in decisions about their care and treatment, being treated with care and concern, having confidence and trust in the healthcare professionals and feeling that their needs were met, including consideration of their mental wellbeing. The results of the national patient survey in these areas had risen since the 2024 survey. Lower than national average scores were received in the national GP patient survey linked to patient satisfaction with access to the service, with lower than average scores for getting through to the practice by phone and people speaking to their preferred healthcare professional. Results for respondents being positive about their overall experience of the practice was 65%, which was lower than the national average of 75%. People who used the service were invited to provide feedback directly to CQC. The majority of responses we received were positive and included comments that indicated that people felt listened to and had been provided with sufficient information to make an informed decision about their care and treatment. Staff were described as ‘helpful’, ‘professional’ and ‘approachable’. Negative responses tended to be linked to people’s experience of accessing the service and trying to secure an appointment. The provider was working to improve people’s experience of the service in these areas. Recent results from the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people overall were positive about their experience of the service. The provider also shared feedback with us from patient’s experience with the GPs. This was highly positive. People who used the service were provided with information about how to provide feedback or raise a complaint and feedback was used to drive improvement.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
