People’s experience

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We reviewed patient feedback we received, and feedback routinely obtained by the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “Wonderful Dental Practice. I've been with them for many years now. [The staff] are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this practice to my family and friends.” And “Excellent empathetic and high quality dental care. Best dentist I have ever been to.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. One patient told us, “I visited Archway Dental Group for a dental check-up and hygienist appointment. The process from start to finish was faultless. [The receptionist] arranged the appointment at a time that suited me and sent helpful follow ups to remind me of the date and time of the check-up.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “Excellent care, all staff friendly but professional. All procedures thoroughly explained and treatment options assessed. Very good practice.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
