The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
People’s experience
The National GP Patient Survey data was significantly below the national average for telephone access, and below the national average for satisfaction with appointment times, making an appointment and the appointment offered. The practice had reviewed and responded to this feedback and was monitoring patient satisfaction with access through patient surveys and through their Patient Participation Group (PPG).
Patient feedback gathered by Healthwatch was mixed regarding access. A survey by an external service was carried out in 2022 which indicated 78% of all ratings, including access were very good or good. A further survey had been undertaken in 2023 and although the results were not available initial indications were that further improvements had been made.
We recognise the pressure that practices are currently working under, and the efforts staff are making to maintain levels of access for their patients. At the same time, our strategy makes a commitment to deliver regulation driven by people’s needs and experiences of care. Although we saw the practice was attempting to improve access, this was not yet reflected in the National GP Patient Survey data.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
Independent lookup: Check My GP is not affiliated with the CQC, NHS or this provider. Providers cannot pay to change their rating or position. CQC data is reused under the Open Government Licence; GP Patient Survey results are published by NHS England and Ipsos.
