People’s experience

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. 97% of respondents to the National GP Patient Survey stated they were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment, 100% of respondents stated they had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to in their last general practice appointment and 98% of patients felt their needs were met during their last appointment. Telephone access was identified as an area for improvement, with only 36.1% of respondents finding it easy to get through to the practice by phone, compared with 48% locally and 53% nationally. Despite this, patients generally reported high levels of satisfaction with the care and treatment they received. The practice was aware of this issue and was actively reviewing and managing its resources to improve telephone access and responsiveness. Leaders demonstrated an understanding of the pressures affecting patient access and were taking steps to ensure resources were deployed effectively to meet patient demand and improve the overall patient experience. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how they worked with the practice to make positive changes in response to patient feedback.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
