People’s experience
At our previous assessment we found that the provider was unable to demonstrate that they had taken action to address the poor satisfaction that patients had reported. During this assessment the provider had taken some steps to address this. The provider had created new systems and policies for complaints and significant events. Patients had opportunities to provide feedback to the practice and were aware of how to make a complaint. We noted that a high volume of complaints had been submitted to the provider in the last year. However, the practice did not always routinely follow their systems and processes, therefore we were not assured that complaints had been dealt with effectively or lessons learned from them. At our previous assessment we found that patients could not always access appointments in a timely way. The provider had listened to patient feedback. Overall, patients were able to make an appointment on the same day, at home or work, at a time that suited them. Patients were also able to alter appointments if needed. However, results from the National GP Patient Survey displayed that patient satisfaction data in relation to access was below local and national averages. The provider was working with other practices within the Primary Care Network (PCN). There was a Patient Participation Group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
