People’s experience

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results from the National GP Patient Survey showed people were satisfied with services. Of the 7 indicators we looked at, 4 showed patient satisfaction with the service was comparable to the national averages. Three indicators showed patient satisfaction with the service was above the national average. For example, 98% of respondents stated that during their last appointment, the healthcare professional was very good or fairly good at listening to them. This was above the national average of 87%. There was a patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Feedback from representatives from the PPG was mixed. They told us that a recent PPG meeting had been held but prior to this they had not met since June 2024. They told us they felt the PPG was a tick box exercise and their opinions were not always listened to or acted on. As part of this assessment, we asked the service to encourage people to give feedback on their care to the CQC by sharing a link on their website, texting people and displaying posters throughout the practice. However, we only received feedback from 2 people. Healthwatch shared with us 2 comments from people that received care and treatment at the practice. No trends were identified from the 4 comments we reviewed.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
