People’s experience

The practice pro-actively encouraged people to give feedback and used feedback from people who used the service to make improvements. Feedback we reviewed, such as data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was positive. The results of the National GP Patient Survey exceeded local and national averages for the majority of questions. In particular, 87% of patients described their experience of contacting Pendeen Surgery as ‘Good’ which was above the local average of 77% and the national average of 70%. 95% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment, which was above the local average of 88% and the national average of 86%. 97% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 97% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Pendeen Surgery helpful which was above the local average of 88% and the national average of 83%. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who worked in partnership with the practice to drive improvements. The PPG acted as a conduit between the local community and practice.
