People’s experience
Overall people were mainly positive about the quality of their care and treatment. The most recent National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test showed people were satisfied with services. In preparation for our assessment, 51 people shared their experiences of the care they received from the practice via our give feedback about care service. Positive feedback included the professionalism of staff, their caring, compassionate and attentive nature who provide exemplary care and a responsive service. Other feedback included the attitude of some staff, leading to a less effective service, especially for those with multiple complex health conditions and the difficulty some patients had experienced using the digital total triage online system. Feedback from representatives of 5 care homes was positive. They told us the practice worked well with them, were professional and responsive to the needs of their residents providing a consistent and person-centred approach. Two representatives considered their residents would benefit from more regular visits from a GP. The practice had a patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. The representative from the PPG told us the relationship with the practice had developed over the years, meetings held were structured, constructive and worthwhile. They told us that the total triage system had much improved many people’s experience of accessing appointments, however some people still had difficulty with understanding how the system worked. They considered the practice could improve by ensuring any significant changes impacting patient care was better communicated.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
