The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
People’s experience
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. For instance, 74% of patients reportedit was easy to get through to this GP practice by phone, compared with local and national averages of 61%and 53%. In addition, 86%described their experience of contacting their GP practice as good, exceeding the average locally and nationallyof 75%and70%. There was a patient participation group (PPG) in place, however, it had not been meeting regularly. Representative from the PPG described how the practice involved them, for example, in setting up a baby clinic, and discussed improvements such as better timing for appointment access. We received few positive comments from patients via Give Feedback on Care forms. Patients’ comments included “at the appointment, the GP handles it well” and “the staff on reception are professional yet friendly and personable”
