People’s experience
As part of our inspection, we reviewed feedback from people who used the practice to understand their views and experience. This included speaking with people using the practice at the time of our inspection and reviewing other feedback available to us. People were extremely positive about the quality of their care and treatment. This was mirrored in all patient feedback, including the 2025 National GP Patient Survey, which showed people were very satisfied with all aspects of the practice, for example: • 93% of respondents described their overall experience of the practice as good. This was significantly higher when compared to the national average (75%). Patient feedback highlighted staff being kind and compassionate and the systems within the practice worked effectively and efficiently. Further feedback highlighted examples of practice staff providing a friendly, accessible and caring service. This included the reception and the clinical teams including those members of staff who were training at the practice. The practice promoted and monitored patient feedback, collected via the NHS ‘Friends and Family’ Test results. We reviewed the most recent responses collected and verified from March 2026 (390 responses), April 2026 (358 responses) and May 2026 (368 responses). Using the combined responses from the last 3 months, 99% rated the service received at the practice as either ‘Good’ or ‘Very Good’. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG provided feedback as part of this inspection, they described how they worked with the practice to make improvements, this included reviewing capacity and demand within the practice which led to a further review of the appointment system. In 2022, the practice worked with the PPG and established The Bell Surgery Charitable Trust. We spoke with a representative from the Trust who described how patients, the practice and the Trust worked together and supported improvements, including purchasing new health technology for the practice. Both the representatives from the PPG and Trust also provided feedback from their perspective as a patient. This feedback aligned to the other positive patient feedback collected throughout this inspection.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
