What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

In the 2023 National GP Patient Survey, the practice’s data demonstrated that 29.2% responded positively about how easy it was to get through to the practice by phone. The England average was 49.6%, This is a negative variation with a slight improvement in performance since previous years.

Patient satisfaction with GP practice appointment times, satisfaction with the appointment offered and with the overall experience of making an appointment showed no statistical variation to the England average and were similar or slightly improved in performance to previous years.

Results from the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) were reviewed and found to be around national average for patient satisfaction. For example, in September, October and November 2023, 390 people responded to the survey with an average of 91% who were positive about the practice. England average is also 91%.

The practice reviewed and responded to the feedback and continues to implement plans for improvement.

We recognise the pressure that practices are currently working under, and the efforts staff are making to maintain levels of access for their patients. At the same time, our strategy makes a commitment to deliver regulation driven by people’s needs and experiences of care. We were told and saw that the practice sought and acted on feedback relating to access.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
