People’s experience

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from The National GP Patient Survey (GPPS) 2026 data and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. For example, 100% of patients that completed the survey had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to during their last general practice appointment compared with the local averages of 92% and national 93%. In addition, 95% described their experience of contacting their GP practice as good, compared with the local average of 73% and national 70%. Feedback received by Care Quality Commission (CQC) through the give feedback on care experience online forms was generally positive. We received 77 give feedback on care comments 69 were positive with patients reporting satisfaction with the quality of clinical care, the professionalism of staff, the responsiveness of the practice. Patients described the service as having “fantastic doctors and nurse, staff being helpful, friendly, kind and having a positive professional manner”. Negative comments included delays with appointment times, the waiting time for receiving test results, and access to GPs. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as engagement work with the local primary and secondary schools. The friends and family results from the past 6 months demonstrated high satisfaction overall (96% and above either “Very good” or “Good”), areas for development included more face-to-face appointments and waiting times for appointments. The practice regularly reviewed this, consequently offered more face-to-face appointments and same day urgent appointments if deemed appropriate.
