What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

As part of our assessment, we reviewed feedback from people who used the practice to understand their views and experience of the services they received. This included speaking with people using the practice at the time of our assessment and reviewing other feedback available to us. Overall, people were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. They described how staff treated them with kindness and compassion and respected their privacy. This was mirrored in the results of recent surveys, including the 2025 National GP Patient Survey, which showed most people were satisfied. For example, 89% of patients who responded to the survey described their overall experience of this GP practice as good. This compared favourably to a local average of 77% and a national average of 75%. Results from the February 2026 NHS Friends and Family Test showed that of 57 responses, 55 rated their experience as either excellent or very good. Results from surveys indicated that they generally found the practice accessible. Though we noted that CQC had received feedback directly from patients on 4 occasions in the previous 12 months which raised concerns regarding access to services. At the time of the assessment the practice did not have an active patient participation group (PPG) to represent the views of people using the practice. The practice told us that it was currently working with other nearby practices to establish a PPG at primary care network level. The practice told us that they actively monitored patient views, without an active PPG, by looking at survey and NHS Friends and Family Test results, as well as analysing complaints and verbal comments from patients.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
