People’s experience
Results from the NHS Friends and Family Test for 2025 showed 84.7% of people rated their overall experience of the service as good or very good. However, the July 2025 National GP Patient Survey showed low satisfaction with contacting the practice, particularly regarding telephone access. Scores for healthcare professionals listening and treating patients with care and concern were significantly below average, as was the overall experience of the practice. During our inspection, we spoke with representatives from local care homes. They told us that they had excellent working relationships with the practice and praised all clinicians. They told us that there were arrangements in place to enable them to easily access services. The practice provided them with opportunities to get involved in local pilots and multi-disciplinary meetings aimed to improve care. We spoke with the Chair of the newly formed PPG whose current focus was specifically on improving patient access. This partnership led to measurable improvements in the telephone system, including better signposting to pharmacy services and streamlined call triaging. The PPG also supported digital inclusion by delivering monthly NHS App training sessions within the local community. They reviewed data to address missed appointments and call-back preferences and were keen to be involved further. The PPG told us that the practice was transparent when discussing negative feedback, although on occasions, communication from the practice was inconsistent. They told us that patients praised the quality of clinical care received, there was ongoing frustration with the speed of results.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
