People’s experience

Recent survey results, including feedback from the 2024 National GP Patient Survey (GPPS) and the NHS Friends and Family Test, show that most people felt confident and trusted the clinician they saw or spoke with. The NHS Friends and Family Test also highlighted most people were satisfied with the care and treatment they received from clinicians. As part of our assessment, we asked the practice to share a feedback link with patients, which generated 390 responses. These responses reflected a mixed range of views on the quality of care and treatment provided. However, results from the 2024 GP Patient Survey (GPPS) indicated that the overall patient experience of contacting the practice was below the national average. The practice had an active Patient Participation Group (PPG), made up of patients who represented the views of those using the service. Minutes from PPG meetings highlighted several ways the group had supported the practice, such as introducing red toilet seats to direct people living with dementia (a red toilet seat helps people with dementia by making the toilet easier to see and recognise. The strong colour contrast improves visibility, reduces confusion, and supports independence and safety in the bathroom) and helping at vaccination clinics. Since the last inspection, the practice had made improvements and is no longer in breach of regulations of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014: Regulation 12 - Safe care and treatment and Regulation 17- Good governance.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
