People’s experience
As part of our assessment, we reviewed feedback from people who used Stockwell Road Surgery to understand their views and experience of it. This included speaking with patients using the practice at the time of our assessment and reviewing other feedback available to us. In feedback to the CQC, most people were positive about the quality of their care and treatment with the key themes identified in patient feedback being: the high standard of clinical care; strong communication and listening; empathy and compassion; friendly and professional staff across all roles; good access and responsiveness; and trust and long-term satisfaction. This positivity was mirrored in the results of recent surveys, including the 2025 National GP Patient Survey and NHS Friends and Family feedback, which showed most people were satisfied with the surgery. Healthwatch information from March 2025 to March 2026 was also reviewed and again was mostly positive. Healthwatch acts as a champion for people using health and social care services, and they receive information of concern through various channels. This includes direct feedback from individuals, reports from local Healthwatch organisations, and data gathered from engagement activities like surveys and focus groups. They analyse this information to identify trends, highlight areas needing improvement, and inform decision-makers about public experiences and concerns. Stockwell Road Surgery had an activepatientparticipationgroup(PPG) who represented the viewsofpeople using theservice.RepresentativesfromthePPGdescribedhowthe surgery maintained regular and meaningful engagement with them and how they were kept informed of proposed developments, service changes or new processes that could affect patients. The PPG also described how leadersat the surgery had madepositivechangesbecauseof theirfeedback and how they had held two successful well-being events and weekly IT ‘drop in’ sessions to improve digital access and support patients to use the NHS App. We also received positive feedback from the local commissioning body, a sexual health clinic and the Primary Care Network (PCN). A PCN is a collaborative alliance of GP surgeries and other health and care providers that work together to enhance health services for their community.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
