What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

As part of the assessment process, we asked the practice to invite patients to share their experience of the service via the Give Feedback on Care form on the Care Quality Commission website. We received 136 responses. Of these, 45% were positive about the service they had received from the practice. The less positive responses were largely related to issues around accessing appointments. The National GP Patient Survey for 2024 showed that the practice was performing in line with national averages in areas such as patients being involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment, and patients having confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to during their last GP appointment. The practice did not perform as well in areas such as patients finding it easy to get through to the GP practice by phone, and patients knowing what the next step would be after contacting their GP practice. Of the 109 patients who completed the survey, 55% described their overall experience of the practice as good, compared to the local and national average of 74%. Feedback from representatives from the patient participation group regarding their interactions with the practice was positive. The NHS Friends and Family Test data from January 2024 to January 2025 showed that an average of 63% of respondents rated their overall experience of the practice as good or very good.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
