The service is not performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.

People’s experience

We collected patient feedback from a variety of sources, including the GP National patient survey, feedback directly to CQC and the data collected by the Friends and Family Test. The GP patient survey results were broadly positive and in line with local and national averages, however a few areas fell below the local GP average and national average scores regarding patient satisfaction with the service. These included the support from local services or organisations to help manage patients’ long-term conditions or illnesses, choice of time or date when patients made a GP appointment and the helpfulness of the practice reception and administrative team. We spoke with members of the practice’s patient participation group (PPG) who told us that the practice had been honest and open in approach and had sought the views of attendees. We noted that the practice was seeking to hold more regular meetings and have input from the PPG.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
