People’s experience
The practice had sought feedback from patients on issues such as the appointment system. The most recent National GP Patient Survey results were higher than national averages (results reported on are from 30/12/2024 to 01/04/2025). For example, the percentage of respondents to the National GP Patient Survey who responded positively to the overall experience of their GP practice was 90.6%, while the national average was 75.4%. The practice sent us results of NHS friends and family data from 2025. The number of patients who were likely or extremely likely to reccomend the practice to friends and family was 94%, 6% did not know. Data from 2026 year‑to‑date showed that 93% of patients were likely or extremely likely to recommend the practice to friends and family, 6% were extremely unlikely, and 1% said they did not know. The practice sent us examples of feedback which some of the GPs had received which were consistantly positive with high praise. The practice had carried out a survey of the nursing team. Over 95% of patients who responded were either highly satisfied or satisfied with the team. The practice shared with us 15 compliments received within the last year; comments describing the practice included wonderful, compassionate and amazing service. The practice had not held any in person patient participation group (PPG) for 2 years due to operational challenges. However, they had a group of patients who they could email for feedback, we contacted 1 of the patients who told us that they had been consulted about improving the practice appointment system and the use of a nurse practitioner. We spoke with a representative from 1 of the care homes where the practice had patients who were resident. They gave us positive feedback. The healthcare professionals did a regular ward round and the practice were responsive to requests from patients at the care home. When we announced our assessment, we shared our online link with the practice to forward to patients to share their experiences with us. We received 31 items of feedback of which 26 were positive. Comments included excellent, professional service and felt listened to. Of the 5 negative comments there was no patterns or trends to the comments.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
