People’s experience

The national GP Patient Survey (GPPS) conducted between December 2024 and April 2025 showed the practice was above the local and national average relating to patient’s experience of the service. There were 490 GP Patient Surveys were sent out, and 115 surveys were received (23% completion rate). People rated their overall experience of the service as good (88% of respondents) compared with the ICS average: 70% and National average: 75%. The GPPS results showed 57% found it easy to contact this GP practice usingthe NHS App (ICS average: 45% National average: 49%). However, only 37% patients found it easy contacting the practice using their website (ICS average: 47% National average: 51%). The provider highlighted positive feedback from their Friends and Family Test (FFT) and Google reviews. While this internal feedback was noted, the national GP Patient Survey is a validated, benchmarked tool designed to provide a representative picture of a practice's patient population. Leaders shared FFT results from December 2025 (112 responses) showed generally positive feedback, with most patients rating the service as very good (81) or good (25). Comments highlighted short waiting times and helpful, supportive staff. At the time of this assessment, leaders explained there was no active patient participation group and staff were actively engaged in reconvening the PPG to help shape the future of the practice.
