People’s experience

As part of the assessment, we reviewed the National GP Patient Survey(2025), the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT), the practice’s own survey, and feedback submitted via the Care Quality Commission’s Give feedback on care page. The National GP Patient Survey (2025) showed that 85% of patients felt their needs were met during their last general practice appointment, compared with the national average of 90%. It also showed that 93% of patients had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to, which is in line with the national average. In addition, 61% of people described their overall experience of the GP practice as good, compared with the national average of 75%. The practice provided additional survey data collected separately from the NHS FFT and the GP Patient Survey. Findings from the in-house survey conducted by the practice represented the views of 2,577 surveys, the survey had a 46% completion rate. It showed that 10% of respondents found it easy or fairly easy to get through on the telephone, which was a 5% increase from the previous year. It also found that 42% of patients rated their experience of contacting the practice as very good or fairly good, a 19% increase from the previous year. The practice did, however, see a 14% reduction in the number of patients able to speak to or see their preferred GP. NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) results between January 2025 and January 2026 showed an average of 70.8% of patients rated the service as good or very good. The average for the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) was 89.7% with a rating of good or very good. We also received feedback via the Give feedback on care section of the CQC website. Of this feedback, 25% was positive or neutral, including comments about the considerate nature of staff and how patients felt listened to. The remaining feedback described difficulties in booking appointments and accessing the practice by telephone.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
