People’s experience

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 21 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 7 patients, who had completed paper feedback forms during the inspection day. We also saw patient feedback from over 200 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “I am happy with the treatment that I receive and I also appreciate that both the Dentist and Hygienist respect that I am somewhat a nervous patient and treat me with sensitivity and respect… My interactions with other members of staff from receptionists to dental assistants are good and I get the impression that the staff are well trained and enjoy their work environment.” “[The dentist] is efficient, knowledgeable, polite, professional and an extremely good dentist.” “Their work is of a high standard and they are professional too. All staff are efficient, pleasant, polite and helpful. This is now a top practice and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.” “Just a quick message to say thanks to the fabulous service I receive from this Dental Practice. They are all very friendly and welcoming.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “I appreciate their introduction as to what to expect during the appointment as well as feedback when the appointment is coming to its end…”, “[The dentist] explains everything and the plans he has for improving your teeth. With agreement, he will show you X-rays and explains them.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. “[The dentist] makes the visit interesting and geared towards your teeth and tells you what can be done in partnership with the dentist, to get the best possible outcome for your teeth.” The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
