People’s experience

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 76 patients. On the day of our inspection, we spoke with a further 3 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: "My family and I have been attending Lister House ICED for many years, and we have always been extremely happy with the care and service we receive. We continue to come here because of the consistently high standard of treatment, the friendly and professional team, and the welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit comfortable and stress-free.” “I have always been extremely satisfied with the care and service provided by [the specialist prosthodontist] and his team. From the moment I arrive, I am greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable. The clinic is spotless, well-organised, and professional. [The specialist prosthodontist] explains everything clearly and ensures I fully understand the treatment and options available. I have always found both the quality of care and patient experience to be outstanding.” “Their expertise, skill and care are second to none. I am fortunate to be their patient. Lister House ICED is a fabulous dental practice. I cannot recommend it highly enough.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. One patient told us, “The practice is always spotless and comfortable, and it’s clear that cleanliness and patient safety are top priorities.” Another patient said, “The premises are beautifully decorated, and the waiting room furnished with very comfortable sofas. Everywhere is spotlessly clean." Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. One patient commented, “The standard of dental treatment has always been excellent. Appointments are well-organised, treatment is carried out with great skill and care, and follow-up support is always available if needed.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients told us, “At all times options and clinical recommendations have been clearly discussed,” and “[The specialist prosthodontist] carried out an in-depth review of my condition and provided a full report…. the proposals were explained and shown to me on screen at the surgery and also put in writing. I was under no obligation or pressure to proceed. Throughout the treatment the stages of work were discussed, and I received progress reports/updates.” Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. One patient said, “I always feel that special care and attention is given to my dental health always,” and another, “The staff have been excellent, always ensuring that I have regular dental check-ups and hygiene appointments, and giving me the latest advice on how to maintain good dental health."
