People’s experience

As part of our assessment, we reviewed feedback from people who used the practice to understand their views and experience of the practice. People were wholly positive about the quality of their care and treatment. They described how staff treated them with kindness and compassion and respected their privacy. The most recent National GP Patient Survey results were higher than national averages (results reported on are from 30/12/2024 to 01/04/2025). For example, the percentage of respondents to the GP patient survey who responded positively to the overall experience of their GP practice was 99.7%, while the national average was 75.4%. The practice sent us results of NHS friends and family data from the last 2 years. The number of patients who were likely or extremely likely to recommend the practice to friends and family was 100%. Comments were positive with comments such as exemplary, good and friendly and the best GP surgery. Both GPs shared with us their own feedback from patients for their own revalidation (which is a process that GPs must go through to prove to the General Medical Council (GMC) they are fit to practice). The responses were all very good or good with wholly positive comments. We received 2 items of feedback sent directly to the commission as a result of the assessment. Both were positive stating the practice was extremely helpful and would recommend this surgery to anyone. The practice did not haven a formal patient participation group (PPG). However, they had a group of patients who had shared their email addresses, and they were contacted by the practice for their views. For example, when considering access to appointments and when the floor covering was changed, they were asked for their feedback. We contacted 2 members of the group who told us they were happy with the care received by the team; they told us that there was good accessibility of appointments and the staff were kind and caring.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
