People’s experience

As part of the assessment, we reviewed the 2025 National GP Patient Survey, the NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT),and asked the service to invite patients to share their experiences of the service via the Give feedback on Care section on the Care Quality Commission’s website. We also spoke to members of the services Patient Participation group (PPG). The National GP Patient Survey for 2025 showed that 95% (national average 90%,) of patients felt their needs were met during their last appointment, 97% (national average 93%) of patients had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to. We also saw that 84% (the national average 75%) of patients would describe their overall experience of the service as good, Friends and Family test (FFT) results between December 2025,and May 2026 showed feedback consistently reflected a positive experience, with an overall 96.6% of responses rating the service as “very good” or “good”. Feedback highlighted the supportive and informative approach of staff, as well as the team’s knowledge and efficiency. We received some submissions via the Give feedback on Care section on the Care Quality Commission’s website. Patients described how good the service was and how happy they were with the care they received. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) that represented the views of service users. When speaking to the PPG, they felt the service was supportive, valued their input, and demonstrated a willingness to listen to their views and act on them where possible.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
