Ongoing Assessment for The Ivy Medical Group

Assessment dated 6 February 2024. Published 2 September 2024.

What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

The national GP survey showed that 53% of respondents described their overall experience of this GP practice as good, compared to a local average of 72% and national average of 71%. However, the majority of responses were positive about their care and treatment and marginally below the local and national averages. The practice reviewed feedback from the national patient survey and where possible acted on comments or suggestions made.

Feedback submitted on NHS UK before and after our assessment was entirely positive about people’s experiences. The practice had an enthusiastic Patient Participation Group (PPG) who were actively involved with quality improvement projects. The PPG had a representative membership, one member of the group had learning disabilities, evidencing how the practice involved and interact with their patient population, promoting equality and diversity.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
