The service is not performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
People’s experience
Prior to this inspection we had received some negative feedback from people who had used the service. Topics raised in this feedback included the prescribing of certain medicines, the management of blood test results and follow up arrangements after treatment had been commenced. We discussed this feedback with the provider during this inspection and this is covered in the body of the report. Following the announcement of this inspection, the provider promoted our digital Give Feedback on Care facility and we received 6 responses giving positive feedback. This feedback indicated that people could access the service easily and at short notice, found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and kind, received appropriate treatment and would recommend the service to others. The provider encouraged people to submit on-line reviews and we saw these were positive with an average rating of 4.78 out of 5. There were 418 reviews in the last 12 months of which 94% rated the service 4 or 5 out of 5 and only 4% rated the service 1 out of 5.
