People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We reviewed patient feedback we received, and feedback routinely obtained by the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “[The dentist] is the epitome of ethical in so many ways. The way I hear her talking to the team. The service she provides to me and my daughters as patients. She is always so caring and gentle. I hope this business is here for the rest of my days as I would never want another dentist. Top class service. The receptionists are always friendly and accommodating and helpful if you need an urgent appointment or need to change an appointment. I would recommend Goose Green dental in a heartbeat." “We have had excellent care all this time. When the children were young, they were never scared to go to the dentist. [The dentist] is calm and kind and always clearly explains any treatment needed so that informed choices can be made. I would recommend this practice.” “Excellent service. Friendly and approachable staff. They always listen to any queries I have regarding my dental care and answer them in a way I understand. I have in the past (with other dentists) felt quite nervous but [my dentist] always puts me at my ease.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “Appointments are always kept without changes.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “I have had a very positive experience with Goose Green Dental. My dentist is excellent, provides good care and clearly explains how to maintain oral health and what can be improved. When work has been required benefits and options are explained. Very transparent.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
