People’s experience

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 8 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 23 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “I recently visited this dental practice and had a genuinely excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The reception team was friendly and efficient, and I didn’t have to wait long before being seen. The dentist was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped ease any nerves I had. They were gentle, thorough, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I especially appreciated how they checked in regularly to make sure I was okay.” “The team were really helpful and friendly, I was really anxious going in and having treatment but the dentist made me feel very relaxed and talked me through everything.” “The dentist was friendly and immediately put my son at ease. [the dentist] was thorough during the examination and explained what they were doing as they went along, which I found helpful. [the dentist] also spent a bit of time talking to my son about his oral hygiene habits and gave us some really practical tips which we have been able to stick to. A lovely clean practice with the kindest staff.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “The clinic itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained, which added to the overall sense of professionalism and care. It’s clear that patient comfort and hygiene are top priorities here.” Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “What I appreciated most was that the appointment didn’t feel rushed at all – they took their time to explain the work I would need, checking that I was comfortable throughout.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
