Ongoing Assessment for Stratum Clinic Origin Building Oxford
Assessment dated 1 October 2025. Published 6 January 2026.
What CQC reported
Date of inspection: 9 October 2025. Stratum clinic is a dermatology clinic which provides several services to patients including treatments for skin cancers and cosmetic care. Patients choose to access the service directly, but may have started their treatment journey in the NHS. The provider has recently moved location. CQC has assessed the new premises as part of our registration assessment during the move. We have applied continuing regulatory history, meaning the inspection history at this location, including the previous ratings for key questions we have not reviewed at this inspection, remain. Some of the services provided at the location are not regulated by the CQC, and therefore we did not include these in this or previous inspections. This inspection was to follow up on concerns and a breach of regulation following our previous inspection in May 2024. We assessed 2 quality statements across the well-led key question. We have provided new scores for each of these quality statements and the service is now rated as good in well-led and overall. We found the service had an improved learning culture. Clinical governance processes had been reviewed and improved. Risk management had been improved in relation to potential medical emergencies. As a result, the provider is no longer in breach of the regulation17 Good Governance.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
Independent lookup: Check My GP is not affiliated with the CQC, NHS or this provider. Providers cannot pay to change their rating or position. CQC data is reused under the Open Government Licence; GP Patient Survey results are published by NHS England and Ipsos.
