What CQC reported
The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
People’s experience
The provider submitted the most recent patient feedback for Barking Urgent Treatment Centre for August 2025, where they had received some mixed responses. For example: • Friends and Family Test: Of 83 responses, 63 (76%) of patients were likely or very likely to recommend the department, while 23 were unlikely or very unlikely. • Staff Listening: Out of 85 responses, 58 (62%) of patients felt staff listened to them. • Dignity and Respect: Of 85 responses, 59 (69%) of patients felt they were treated with dignity and respect. • Comment Cards (July 2025): 20 out of 23 cards (87%) contained positive feedback about the service. The service monitored and responded to patient feedback, for example, displayed on notice boards was ‘you said’, and ‘we did’, the providers response. For August 2025 issues noted were some staff did not demonstrate compassionate communication, introduce themselves and were dismissive of patients concerns. In response the organisation had provided all staff training and reminded staff about the organisation’s expectations regarding their behaviour and to wear name badges.
