People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 3 patients. We saw patient feedback from 20 patients, who had completed paper feedback forms during the inspection day. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 26 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “Always had very good service from [my dentist] and Hyde Dental Practice. They are very friendly, professional and caring, with high quality work. I would highly recommend them.” “I’ve always received the best attention and patient care from Hyde Dental Practice. [My dentist] is very knowledgeable, approachable, caring and proactive when it comes to suggesting and providing the best dental solutions. The whole team in the practice is very professional and work very hard to make sure that the patients get the best care. I would really recommend Hyde Dental Practice for its outstanding service.” “Have been coming to the practice for many years. Can honestly say that I don’t know where I would be without them. Service I have is excellent from [my dentist] but besides that nothing is too much trouble. I also love the fact that they send me reminders about upcoming appointments to remind me in advance.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “The staff on reception are very friendly and have always resolved problems such as changing appointments when business commitments have meant I have had to change an appointment.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
