What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were mostly satisfied with services. The feedback CQC received was overwhelmingly positive about the new provider and leaders at Woodstock Bower Surgery. They described the reception staff as being happy, helpful and friendly. Staff were described as going above and beyond their duty of care and that the practice had been transformed under the new leadership. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using the service. The PPG reported strong engagement and told us they felt well informed, fully included in discussions, and that their views were valued and used to influence developments. Both partners regularly attended PPG meetings, which members told us strengthened communication, visibility, and trust. PPG representatives described significant improvements under current leadership and said the practice responded effectively to the needs of its diverse community, ensuring minority groups were supported and encouraged to represent the group.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
