People’s experience

Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 9 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 400 patients, who had left online reviews. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “I found that the staff and team at Heaton Mersey were very accommodating through the treatment process… In particular I found [my orthodontist] to be an amazing orthodontist as not only were they extremely skilled in their work, they built a very friendly and positive environment with me and from what I have seen other patient.” “Amazing attentive service from kind staff from reception, nurses and dentists.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “…They gave me flexibility in my appointments due to my restrictive schedule and were very helpful in the treatment process itself.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. “Everyone has been very kind and helpful. They have explained all the processes and costs in great detail.” Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. “The service has been exemplary. Treatment clearly explained, both dentists have been brilliant with her. I received an after-care call after her last visit which was a bonus. Very pleased so far and would recommend.” Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
