Ongoing Assessment for The Fat Loss Centre
Assessment dated 25 February 2025. Published 16 July 2025.
What CQC reported
The provider was registered with the CQC in October 2024, and this was the first assessment of the service. The only regulated activity, conducted by the provider was minimally invasive liposuction. Other activities carried out by this provider did not fall within the scope of a regulated activity. We undertook an onsite assessment of this service on 25 March 2025 after concerns were raised about the service by people who had used the service contacting the Care Quality Commission. We assessed the key question Safe. Therefore, we have rated the key question of safe but not the overall location. During our assessment we were not assured the provider had adequate policies and procedures in place to keep patients safe. A CQC Letter of Intent was served asking the provider to take action. The provider responded and made changes to improve the service and self-suspended their regulated activities while they did so. Summary of breeches. Regulation 12 safe care and treatment We were not assured patients were being kept safe and patient risk assessments were not documented. The service did not use a surgical checklist to take patient observations to monitor patients safely. Medicines were not stored appropriately, and patients were not given prescribed medication in product boxes with information leaflets. We were not assured staff had been trained appropriately as staff files were incomplete or did not exist. Regulation 15 premises and equipment Decontamination of equipment was not in line withHealth Technical Memorandum 01-01 meaning patients were put at risk of infection. The storage and preparation of saline bags, used in surgery, posed an infection risk to patients.
People’s experience
As we assessed the key question of Safe only, we did not seek patient feedback for this assessment.
GP Patient Survey 2026
What registered patients reported
Practice-level results will appear when an ODS match is available.
No 2026 practice-level survey result is matched to this record yet. This can happen for non-GP services, closed or newly registered practices, or records without a matching NHS organisation code.
Survey percentages are weighted official statistics and describe the people who responded; they are not a Check My GP score or ranking. Results based on small numbers may be suppressed by the survey publisher.

Evidence, not a league table.
CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.
Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
Independent lookup: Check My GP is not affiliated with the CQC, NHS or this provider. Providers cannot pay to change their rating or position. CQC data is reused under the Open Government Licence; GP Patient Survey results are published by NHS England and Ipsos.
