People’s experience
Prior to our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 4 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 4 patients, who had completed paper feedback forms during the inspection day. We also reviewed feedback from 9 patients which was collected by the practice in October 2025. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included: “[my dentist] clearly explained what needed to be done and why, making me feel informed and comfortable with the treatment plan. The costs were transparent and explained upfront, which eliminated any concerns about unexpected expenses. What stood out most was how friendly [my dentist] was the approachable manner helped put me at ease. I would highly recommend Birch Dental Practice to anyone looking for professional, courteous dental care with a genuine focus on patient wellbeing and prevention.” “I have been a patient at Birch Dental for over 5 years and have always found them to be courteous and professional. I have been very happy with the treatment they have provided me over the years.” “The staff always welcomes us with warm smiles, and they’ve gotten to know our family over the years, which makes every appointment feel personal. They are wonderful with children and adults alike, taking the time to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure everyone feels at ease. Whether it’s routine cleanings or more involved treatments, we’ve always felt confident that we are in excellent hands.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. “The clinic is clean, modern, and well-organized, and the quality of care has always been outstanding.” Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. “Making an appointment was straightforward and hassle-free, which made the whole experience even better.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients said when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
