People’s experience

Two weeks before our on-site assessment, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 13 patients. On the day of our assessment, we saw patient feedback from a further 69 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “The practice always tries to assist with appointments and reminded on my phone.”, “Friendly greeting from receptionists.”, “Listened to the issues I had, and gave me some information to try and help me at home when cleaning my teeth.”, “Lovely ladies on the desk that made me feel welcome and at ease. Clean and welcoming in the waiting area. Dentist talked through everything he was going to do and did a fab job at helping my nerves.”, “A very responsive, obviously well led practice. Staff are kind, compassionate, caring, and very patient. Easy to get through by telephone and easy to get an appointment as and when required." and “Always receive first class treatment”.

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.

Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.

Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
