People’s experience

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 24 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “The whole experience of going to the dentist, which used to be one of dread, I have to say is now a pleasure I can look forward to. The receptionists are always pleasant and helpful. The dentist takes time to explain any procedures and puts you at ease before starting. This practice is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good dentist.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Comments included, “The staff provide an excellent service and are always willing to help us. They always allow me to make the final decision and give good advice.” Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. Comments included, “They were exceptionally good in how they managed the care for my son. Personalised advice really made him change the way he manages his own oral health. Really great service too.” The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
