People’s experience

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 14 patients. On the day of our inspection, we spoke with and saw patient feedback from a further 4 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “Excellent, kind, extremely patient with a difficult customer. Five stars” and “Great team and service from reception to dentists highly recommend.” Another patient told us, “[Dentists] very kind, patient and [dentist] expertise made a potentially difficult procedure much better.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. They felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Comments included, “Staff are very friendly, clinic ran on time, practice hygiene was outstanding” and “6 month inspection thoroughly carried out with the same great attention to detail that I've experienced over many years at this excellent practice.” Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. One person commented, “Your treatment options are explained in a clear and understandable manner, explaining the benefits of the different options available and any associated costs. I certainly do not feel I'm pushed towards a more expensive option.” Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given. Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
