People’s experience

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 19 patients. On the day of our inspection, we saw patient feedback from a further 16 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Comments we received included. “Lovely admin, my dentist in particular is very good, very thorough with explanation on everything she's doing and gives me tips!” “At this practice they are kind, friendly, understanding and helpful. Last year, I had a problem with one of my wisdom teeth, they were so helpful and understanding of my condition.” “Staff very friendly and helpful. Waiting room clean and welcoming.” “Taking NHS patients and made registration system straightforward. Less than expected waiting times for appointments. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Dental clinicians both very friendly, professional, knowledgeable with good communication and high quality of treatment for all of my family - myself and husband and two children. Took the time to demo toothbrushing to my son. Signposted to useful resources online for oral health promotion. We would highly recommend this practice to others.” Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.

Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.   Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources. The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
