What CQC reported

The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the service to share details of CQCs email and telephone number to provide their feedback. In addition, we provided the service with CQC comment card forms for patients to provide their written feedback about their experience. We received feedback from 6 patients of which 3 were positive about their experience of the service; 2 were mixed; and 1 was negative. Patients told us they felt listened to, cared for, and reported staff to be helpful. The mixed and negative feedback related to the appointment system where patients reported difficulties making appointments; and stated preferences for face to face rather than telephone appointments. Data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was highly positive. 97% of patients surveyed said they found their care at the practice to be either ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good.’ The results of the National GP Patient Survey found 85% of patients described their overall experience of Hagley Surgery as ‘Good’ which was above the national average of 75%. 89% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment. 92% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 92% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Hagley Surgery Centre helpful.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
