People’s experience

The results of the National GP Patient Survey found 80% of patients described their overall experience of Bewdley Medical Centre as ‘Good’ which was above the national average of 75%. 85% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern during their last general practice appointment. 86% of patients reported the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment. 83% of patients found the reception and administrative team at Bewdley Medical Centre helpful. Data shared from the NHS ‘Friends and Family Test’ showed that the vast majority of patient experience about the practice was highly positive. 97% of patients surveyed said they found their care at the practice to be either ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good.’ To hear from patients about their experiences we asked the service to share details of CQCs ‘Give Feedback on Care’ process. CQC received feedback from 11 patients of which 3 were positive about their experience of the service; and 8 were negative. Positive patient feedback related to the care, treatment and support received from staff. Negative feedback related the appointment system where patients reported difficulties making appointments; and communications issues between staff and patients relating to their care and treatment.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
