The service is performing well and meeting our expectations.

People’s experience

We spoke with representatives from 15 (out of a total of 33) care homes where patients resided. Care home staff spoke positively about the provider; we heard practice staff were caring, patient-centred and easy to contact, particularly when urgent appointments were required. Whilst most care home staff told us they received sufficient ward rounds and contact from the provider, some commented on a perceived lack of practice staff to cover periods of planned or unplanned leave.

The provider shared examples of patient feedback they had collected from patients, family or friends of patients, and care home workers (responses from 33 people in total). Unverified data showed that responses were mostly positive and referred to kind, respectful practice staff who were effective at meeting the needs of patients. Other comments referred to efficient communication and named various clinical and non-clinical staff as being particularly helpful or providing outstanding care. Respondents were asked for their ideas for improvement. Suggestions included increasing the number of GPs and increasing face to face appointments.

Evidence, not a league table.

CQC findings and GP Patient Survey results answer different questions and may cover different time periods. Neither confirms current appointment availability, NHS acceptance, opening hours or whether a provider is suitable for you.

Check the provider’s own website and the complete official CQC record before making a decision. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 or call 999 in an emergency.
